studying: vocab

This year is “vocab quiz year”. Yep, language arts now incorporates vocab quiz monthly. So how do I study? Flash cards!

Flash cards are boring, everybody uses them. But I have an ingenious idea, if I do so say myself. 🙂

Here’s what you do: group any words with similar meanings. For example, affable and amiable both mean something about friendliness/likability so they would be grouped together.

Then, one by one, go through the groups. Once you have those words down, go to the next pile. Get those words down, add the previous group, and soon enough, you’ll have your words  in your brain and ready for your test/quiz/test. 🙂

Hope you’ll try this technique out and see if it works for you!
